VisEn Launches IntegriSense
New from VisEn Medical Inc, Bedford, Mass, is the IntegriSense fluorescence in vivo molecular imaging agent, which is designed to enable imaging of integrin alpha v beta 3 expression in order to measure and monitor aspects of disease progression and therapeutic response. Applications include oncology, cardiovascular disease and bone disease.
IntegriSense is the first product resulting from the Merck-VisEn Biomarker Imaging research collaboration announced last year.
“The integrin alpha v beta 3 protein plays an important key role in many disease pathways, which is one of the key reasons we selected this as a first imaging target with our collaborators at Merck,” said Kirtland Poss, president and CEO of VisEn. “IntegriSense should enable researchers to drive valuable new insights into disease progression and therapeutic mechanisms of action in vivo. We are pleased to be providing our customers the continually expanding ability to generate such rich information on their disease biologies and pathways of interest.”
