CR System
Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, NY, introduces the DirectView
CR 500 System, a new CR system that offers the image quality of
Kodak's DirectView CR platform in a tabletop design. This
single-cassette CR system captures x-ray images onto storage

the screens and processed to create the final digital radiographic
images. The CR 500 processes more than 60 plates per hour (based on
35 x 43 cm cassettes) and provides local storage of approximately
1,500 images. It features an optional 15-inch flat panel display
monitor or a 17-inch CRT monitor. In addition, the CR 500 system
