Rorke Leverages Low-Cost Serial ATA (SATA) With New LUN-Aware Switch Platform
Rorke Data will demonstrate a new Storage Services Switch Platform at the 2003 RSNA event (Booth 1315). The new switch features per-port-processing that guarantees QoS per LUN. This means that mid–size and enterprise-class users can rely on wire speed performance, regardless of their existing mission-critical storage environment for example (HP, EMC, BM, or SUN) and simultaneously leverage low-cost SATA-based RAID storage for second-tier applications.

The switch provides an intelligent fabric environment, which enables network-based mirroring, replication, and back-up applications that can be assigned directly to the lower-cost Rorke SATA storage. The Rorke SATA RAID storage can be mirrored behind the switch to achieve an extremely high-availability storage environment that operates seamlessly with the user’s existing mission-critical storage hardware platform and applications, ultimately reducing TCO as well as the total cost of storage across the entire use environment.

Gray Scale Ultrasound Phantom
The Gray Scale Phantom can be used on all diagnostic ultrasound machines.

This ultrasound phantom is an ideal training tool for learning optimum system setup and evaluating system performance. The Model 047 enables evaluation of gray scale sensitivity with a range of transducer frequencies. More than 20 different contrast targets can be viewed with either a circular or elliptical cross-section. Scatter is controlled independently from attenuation, and masses are angled for continuous assessment over a range of depths.
