Morse to Launch CyberKnife Center in Tampa

Strengthening the CyberKnife presence in Southwest Florida, a new facility in Tampa Bay will join the existing CyberKnife Centers of Miami and Palm Beach.

Image-guided robotic radiosurgery practice facilitator Morse LLC, of Miami, will operate the three community-based outpatient cancer treatment facilities.

A fourth center is in the planning stages in Southwest Florida beginning this fall.

The CyberKnife is manufactured by Accuray, of Sunnyvale, Calif.

The image-guided robotic radiosurgery tool is designed to treat head, neck, prostate, lung, liver, spine and other difficult-to-reach cancer lesions with a radiation beam that was developed to precisely target an intense dose of radiation to a small area as tiny as 0.95 ml.
