Viztek, of Jacksonville, Fla., has debuted a full-featured mammography viewer that integrates with its Opal-RAD PACS solution, as well as any PACS supporting DICOM Query/Retreive.

The company reported that the multi-modality viewer eliminates the need for a separate mammography workstation. Supporting diagnostic quality viewing of full-field digital mammography, (FFDM), CR and MR breast images, the product uses the same image database as general patient images, streamlining image management and storage. 

Furthermore, the viewer features Quad Zoom, chest wall justification with back-to-back breasts and measurement tools, and it can launch all major computer aided detection (CAD) systems from a viewer toolbar. It is configurable for simultaneous gray-scale and color monitor capabilities.
