ZONARE Medical Systems, Inc, Mountainview Calif, has brought in medical imaging industry executive, Jay D. Miller as its new president and CEO. The company’s former CEO, Donald J. Southard, has resigned after 6 years.

Miller most recently served as president and CEO of Kappametrics, Inc, a manufacturer of EEG and MRI technologies. Prior to Kappametrics, Miller served as president and CEO of PACS visualization and informatics company, Vital Images, Inc, and has a long history of serving other well-known medical imaging companies.

Miller will be leading Zonare’s efforts to expand its ultrasound market share. The company manufactures its z.one ultrasound system based on proprietary technology.

The company recently received a user loyalty rating of 100 percent in the recent KLAS Top 20: Year-End Report.
