Carestream (Rochester, NY), has announced a new software module that displays digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) exams from DICOM-compliant acquisition devices on the Carestream Vue Mammo Workstation. The workstation also displays traditional mammograms, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and general radiology exams to help radiologists work efficiently from a single desktop.
The DBT module streamlines workflow by allowing health care providers to store, route, display, and query/retrieve DBT exams from DICOM-compliant acquisition devices. Comparison tools enable radiologists to use personalized hanging protocols for DBT exams along with other procedures.
Specialized tools further enhance productive reading. Automatic positioning of DBT and mammograms eliminates manual manipulations. Automatic
