Minneapolis based Vital Images, Inc introduced Vitrea Enterprise Suite, which combines the company’s 2D, 3D and 4D clinical applications and services with a centralized solution for managing volumetric image data across the medical enterprise.

The company calls its new centralized data management solution Vital Image Management System (VIMS), which provides universal access to a single, web-based source of imaging data across the medical enterprise.

Carrel, president and chief executive officer of Vital Images said in an announcement, “We developed this comprehensive solution to address the growing image data management and workstation proliferation challenges our customers face. Vitrea Enterprise Suite sets a high standard for managing volumetric image data across the enterprise, and supports clinical productivity, enhanced workflows and improved performance.”

VIMS manages multiple, disparate advanced visualization systems and is designed to help improve performance, ensure scalability and redundancy, and reduce total cost of ownership.
