News Stories![]() IHS Launches RadiologyInsight for Peer Review ManagementInsight Health Solutions (IHS), East Providence, RI, a software company that provides risk management and quality improvement solutions, has introduced RadiologyInsight,™ a suite of risk management and quality improvement solutions for radiology. RadiologyInsight exceeds the American College of Radiology peer review requirements, according to the IHS press release. The automated peer review management system is designed to streamline the process and procedures that impact radiologist workflow and regulatory compliance measures. The Web-based system is customizable with a flexible and random over-read selection process that allows managers to choose the percentage of qualified exams to be read, select who to assign them to (specific individuals or pools of radiologists), and implement 100% over-reads if necessary. Jonathan Movson, MD, assistant professor at Brown University School of Medicine and radiologist with Rhode Island Medical Imaging in Providence, commented in the press release, “RadiologyInsight has helped our radiologists to comply with the ACR-mandated peer review process. The fact that the studies are randomly generated and that radiologists are only asked to review studies within their area of expertise adds a level of integrity to the system that did not exist previously. The time required to perform an over-read has also been significantly reduced. These two factors have improved the degree of radiologist compliance with the peer review process.” Visit www.insighthealthsolutions.com for more information. Source: Press Release
